Very early today after picking you up from your hotel we will transfer you to Ollantaytambo where you will take the tourist train to Aguas Calientes town or also called Machu Picchu town, and then take the bus to the city of Machu Picchu. Here you will have the guided tour where you will get to know this Sacred Inca City in detail, you will walk through its temples, you will be able to take thousands of photos and of course you will also be able to take the very famous classic photo with Machupicchu in the background.

After our tour and having taken the necessary time to enjoy this wonder we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, here you can explore the town, visit its craft market, have lunch and finally take the train that will take you to Ollantaytambo and from there a bus will return it to the City of Cusco.

Depending on the train schedules, we may arrive in Cusco at night.

OPTIONAL CLIMBING HUAYNA PICCHU OR CLIMBING MACHU PICCHU MOUNTAIN – For the more adventurous, you can purchase an additional permit for Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (ask for costs), and waive the guided tour of Machu Picchu, which is non-refundable and non-transferable. . Please note that this is NOT a guided option and it takes a minimum of 3 hours to return. You must be in good condition if you want to do one of these options as both climbs are very steep (including many small and narrow steps) and can be slippery and very exposed with dizzying drops. Today we will have an unforgettable experience visiting these two unique places. Moray with its semicircular terraces, which was probably a center for agricultural experimentation in Incas time, and Maras salt mines, which have been exploiting salt since immemorial time until today.

Today after picking you up from your hotel, we will go to Moray, which will be our first stop, here we will be able to learn more about the Inca technology applied to agriculture, let yourself be surprised by its imposing concentric terraces.

Then we will direct you to Maras Salt Mines which are a set of more than 3000 pools, from which salt is obtained by evaporation, here the famous pink salt is extracted, which is only found in a few places in the world, due to its high mineral content, it is considered medicinal also now is essential in the rich Peruvian gastronomy.

Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco

From the Inca times to the present, the Sacred Valley was and is one of the most important agricultural centers that exist in Cusco, here the largest corn registered in the world “called Paracay or giant corn” is grown.

In this tour we go through picturesque towns, whose inhabitants still preserve their traditions and customs as in Inca times. On the tour we will visit the archaeological sites of Pisac and Ollantaytambo, as well as craft markets.

We start by picking you up from your hotel, then we will head towards Pisac in this part of the journey we will be able to observe the different Andean landscapes as well as many farmlands.

In Pisac you will have a guided tour of this amazing place with immense terraces and the largest pre-Columbian cemetery found in Cusco. After our visit we will go to for lunch spot in the city of Urubamba, where we will enjoy the delicious gastronomy of the sacred valley with a buffet lunch.

With a full tummy with yummy, we head to Ollantaytambo, here we will enjoy the incredible Inca architecture, the upper part of this important Inca site offers spectacular views of the town that is considered as a living Inca city.

Finally, we will go back to the City of Cusco, but not before making a stop at Chinchero to appreciate and learn about its textiles, the artisans here still use the same techniques and procedures in their clothing, as in the past.

We will pick you up from your hotel, then we will walk through the narrow streets of Cusco for a few minutes to the Koricancha or also called Temple of the Sun, which was the spiritual center of the Inca Empire and in its architecture, it shows the quality and perfection of the Inca technology mixed with the Dominican Christian splendor. Then we will leave the city by car towards the impressive and enigmatic ceremonial center of Sacsayhuamán.

This is one of the most important Inca archaeological sites, with its enormous stone walls of cyclopean size, some of these immense rocks weigh more than 100 metric tons. You will know the origins and mysteries that reside in its walls.

Then we will continue to the archaeological site of Qenqo, which was another important place in the Inca era, where the mummification process of the Inca kings was probably carried out.

Later, we will go to Puca Pucará, Interesting site that translates as “Red Fortress”, it was an entry point to Cusco from the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Our last stop on the tour is Tambomachay. This was a Temple dedicated to Water, it has a beautiful fountain and its architecture is enhanced by the water channels that have been operating during the Inca times until today.

Finally, we will take the car back to the city of Cusco

CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – SORAYPAMPA – HUMANTAY LAKE – CUSCO

Today we will pick you up very early, to transfer you by car to the town of Mollepata, here we can have breakfast and also buy some snacks if we forgot to do it in Cusco.

After breakfast we will continue our trip for one hour and a half by car, this part of the journey will be along a bumpy road until we reach the community of Soraypampa, which is located at 3900 meters above sea level. Throughout the tour we will observe beautiful landscapes and the impressive snow-capped “Apu Salkantay”. Once in Soraypampa we will undertake an ascending walk of 2 km to the lagoon and it will take us about an hour and a half to two hours, while walking you will realize that the people in the Andes do not walk alone, but are always accompanied by the spirits of its protective mountains and this will not be the exception since it will be surrounded by the most imposing ones. The “Humantay Lagoon” is located at 4200 meters above sea level.

The “Humantay Lagoon” shows its turquoise color and is fed by the perpetual snow of the mountain, it is considered a jewel of nature. In addition to delighting ourselves with the beauty of the Humantay lagoon, we can enjoy the impressive views of the mountains that surround it.

After having enjoyed this wonder of nature, we will descend on foot until we reach the community of Soraypampa where we can enjoy lunch. After lunch we will start the return trip to Cusco.

Very close to Cusco City is the amazing Rainbow Mountain or also called the Mountain of 7 Colors. We will start the day very early to fully enjoy this natural wonder, between 03:30 am and 04:00 am, we will pick you up from your hotel to head south of the city of Cusco. The initial trip will take approximately 1 hour and a half to our first stop Cusipata. There is the restaurant where we will enjoy an appetizing breakfast. Later, we will continue with the trip for 1 hour and a half to Fulawasipata (4,660 meter above sea level), here we will explain the previous route to the Mountain of 7 Colors. From there, at the foot of the sacred snowy Ausangate, our trek will begin.

The stretch of ascent to the Rainbow Mountain is approximately two hours and is located at 5,200 meters above sea level. During our tour we will have the opportunity to observe llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas. Upon reaching the “red hill” we will have enough time to rest, enjoy the impressive landscape and take pictures of the Vinicunca mountain or Rainbow Mountain that will show us its impressive colors: red, pink, turquoise, yellow, etc. Then, it will be time to start the way back. We will descend for 1 hour towards flat terrain and we will arrive at the place where our trek began: Fulawasipata. There our car will be waiting for us to take us to a restaurant where we will enjoy an invigorating lunch. Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco making our arrival between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
