The purpose and scope of this policy
Meta Travel Peru its stakeholders and staff come into contact with children and families as part of their standard activities.
These include:
● Young adults who receive supervised work experience within any Meta Travel Peru office.
● Children and young adults as Travelers of Meta Travel Peru
● Children and young adults traveling with other people, tour operators or travel agencies.
● Children and young adults at duty stations and/or services including, but not limited to, historic sites, homestays, hotels, restaurants.
● Lawfully employed young adults at duty stations and/or services, including but not limited to historic sites, homestays, hotels, restaurants.
● Children and young adults illegally employed at duty stations and/or services including, but not limited to, historic sites, homestays, hotels, restaurants.
The purpose of this policy statement is:
● protect children and young people who receive the services of Meta Travel Peru. This includes children of adults who use our services.
● provide parents, whether travelers, staff or within our supply chain, with the general principles that guide our approach to child protection.
This policy statement applies to anyone working on behalf of Meta Travel Peru.

Children and young people should never suffer abuse of any kind.
At Meta Travel Peru we have the responsibility to promote the well-being of all children and young people, to keep them safe and protected.
We understand that:
The children welfare is paramount, regardless of their age, gender, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation, they are equally entitled to protection from all kinds of harm or abuse.
Some children are also vulnerable due to the impact of previous experiences, their level of dependency, communication needs or other issues.
We will seek to keep children and young people safe, by valuing, listening and respecting them, developing child safeguarding protection policies and procedures that reflect better practices.
Use our child welfare procedures to share concerns and relevant information in a timely manner and engage children, youth, parents, families and caregivers, as appropriate.

Recruitment of personnel safely, guaranteeing that all the necessary checks are carried out.
Implement a code of conduct for all our staff and volunteers.
Use our procedures to handle allegations against staff appropriately.
Make sure we have effective whistleblowing measures in place.
Ensuring that we provide a safe physical environment for our children, youth and staff by applying health and safety measures in accordance with local law.
