When you booking with us, we issue our invoice and/or confirmation e-mail. If you later cancel, there will be cancellation fees. Initially, this may be just a deposit, but it can go up to 100%.

We are responsible to you for providing your vacation, but there are legal limits.

1. Our data

YOUR BOOKING IS WITH META TRAVEL PERU based in Cusco – Peru.

These booking terms and conditions, privacy policy, terms of use of the website together with other information that we inform you before confirming your reservation, form the basis of your contract with META TRAVEL PERU. Please read them carefully.

In these booking conditions, references to “we” and “us” indicate META TRAVEL PERÚ and references to “you” and “your” include the first person named in the booking (the principal name) and all persons in whose name a booking is made or any other person to whom a booking is added or transferred.

Use of this website is expressly conditioned on your acceptance of the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of the following terms and conditions, you must not use this website.

2. Your Booking

A reservation will exist as soon as we issue our invoice or confirmation email.

The reservation is made according to our terms and conditions; When you make a reservation, you guarantee that you are over 18 years and you have the authority to accept or accept on behalf of your group the terms of these booking conditions.

3. Paying for your booking

When you make your booking, you are required to pay an initial deposit plus additional payment(s) which will be advised prior to book and will also be found at the bottom of your quote.

The balance of the price of your travel arrangements must be paid at least 04 weeks before the date of departure.

If the deposit and/or balance are not paid on time, we will cancel your travel arrangements. If the balance is not paid on time, we will hold your deposit in addition to the provider’s non-refundable charges.

Please note: Deposit represents partial payment of your booking expenses. The required deposit will be displayed on the quote page of your itinerary.

 In addition to the deposit, further non-refundable installment payments may be required which will be advised to you prior to book and will be paid at the time of booking or according to the payment plan in the quote (“Prepayment”). Advance payments will be shown on your quote. The balance must be paid no later than the date specified in the booking confirmation / invoice.

Final payment is normally no less than 30 days prior to departure date. If we do not receive all payments due in full and on time, we will remind you that payment must be made before treating your booking as cancelled. Full payment is required at the time of booking for all reservations made within 30 days of departure.

4. If you cancel your booking

You, or any member of your party, may cancel your booking arrangements at any time.

Since we incur costs when canceling your travel arrangements, you will have to pay the cancellation charges as follows, in addition to the provider’s non-refundable charges (see also exception below):

Note: If the reason for your cancellation is covered by the terms of your insurance policy, you may be able to claim back these charges.

You can cancel your reservation without paying cancellation fees if the performance of your package is significantly affected by unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. In such circumstances, we will arrange for your booking to be canceled and you receive a full refund.

5. If you change your booking

If, after our invoice and/or confirmation email has been issued, you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way, for example your chosen departure date or accommodation, we will do our best to make these changes, but may not always be possible.

Any request for changes must be made in writing. You will be required to pay any provider costs we incur in making this change.

You should be aware that these costs could increase the closer to the departure date, you should contact us as soon as possible.

Please note: Certain travel arrangements may not be modifiable after a reservation has been made and any request for modification could incur a cancellation charge up to 100% of that portion of the arrangements. We will inform you about such non-refundable or non-transferable travel arrangements before you confirm your reservation (for example, Inca Trail booking).

You can transfer your full booking to another person, who meets all the conditions that apply to this reservation, by notifying us in writing as soon as possible and no later than 7 days before departure. Both you and the new traveler are responsible for paying all costs we incur in making the transfer.

6. If we cancel your booking

We reserve the right to cancel your reservation. We will not cancel less than 30 days before your departure date, except for unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, or failure to pay the final balance.

Unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances mean a situation beyond our control, consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken.

If your tour is cancelled, you can either get a full refund or accept an alternative tour of a comparable standard from us if we offer one (we will refund any difference in price if the alternative is of lesser value).

In the event a refund is paid to you, we will pay compensation as set out below, except where the cancellation is due to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances (see definition above).

Please note: This does not exclude you from claiming more if you are entitled to do so.

7. If we change your booking

It is a term of your booking that we can make changes to any aspect of it. If the change is insignificant, we will ensure that you are notified. Examples of insignificant changes include altering your flights in less than 12 hours, change of accommodation to another of the same or higher standard, changes of local operator, etc.

If due to circumstances beyond our control we are forced to significantly alter any of the main characteristics of the travel services that make up your package, you will have the rights established below:

We will contact you and you will have the option to accept the change or receive a refund of all the money paid. You can also accept an alternative holiday, where we offer one (we will refund any difference in price if the alternative is of lesser value). We tell you the procedure to make your choice. Please read any change notification carefully and respond immediately, as failure to respond to us within the given timeframe may result in your booking being cancelled.

8. Our responsibility to you

You must inform us without delay of any failure or improper performance of the travel services included in this package.

If any of the travel services included in your package are not provided in accordance with the contract, or are performed incorrectly by us or the travel service providers, and this has affected the enjoyment of your travel arrangements. You may be entitled to an appropriate price reduction, compensation or both.

9. Complaints

If you have a complaint about any of the services included in your holiday, you should inform to our local representative and/or the relevant supplier without delay, who will endeavor to put things right so that we can make sure your complaint is resolved quickly.

Please note: if you do not comply with the requirement to report your complaint while on the tour directly to Meta Travel Peru, we will be deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify it and this may affect your rights in the booking.

10. Additional assistance

If you have difficulties during the holidays and ask us for help, we will provide you with the appropriate assistance, by providing information on health services, local authorities and consular assistance and help you find alternative arrangements and the necessary phone calls/emails. You must pay the costs we incur, if the difficulty is your fault.

11. Passport, visa, immigration and health requirements

Your passport and visa requirements, and other immigration requirements are your responsibility.

Most countries require a passport to have a certain period of validity, such as 6 months or blank pages.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you process your visa and that you have the correct documentation to allow you enter and exit the country.

We can provide general information on passport and visa requirements for your trip. However, your specific passport and visa requirements and other immigration requirements are your responsibility and should be confirmed with the appropriate embassies and/or consulates.

Neither we nor the supplier(s) accept any responsibility if you are unable to travel because you have not complied with any passport, visa or immigration requirements. Please note that these requirements may change between booking and departure.

Health requirements and vaccinations are regularly updated in various destinations and may change at any time. We suggest that you consult your doctor before departure at least 6 weeks before departure. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have obtained all necessary vaccinations for your trip and according to your doctor’s recommendations before you travel. We do not accept any responsibility if you are unable to travel as a result of your failure to comply with the necessary health requirements.

We can provide general information about any health formalities required for your trip, but you should consult your own doctor for your specific circumstances.

If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, be sure to check with your doctor before you travel. We cannot give medical advice on fitness to travel if you are planning a trip or if you are pregnant, nor can we give advice on infections or contagious diseases on the spot. You should receive advice on fitness to travel before booking a holiday.

12. Travel insurance

You must purchase suitable travel insurance as a condition of your contract with us. Your insurance must cover the costs of cancellation, early/unexpected reduction of your trip, medical and repatriation expenses, as well as personal accidents and loss/damage/delay of your luggage or personal effects. If you do not purchase travel insurance to protect you and your party against these risks, we will not be liable for any losses you incur that might otherwise have been covered by insurance.

13. Excursions

Excursions or other tours that you may choose to book or pay for while on vacation or prior to departure, but which are not included in your itinerary, are not part of the vacation package we provide to you. In this scenario, with respect to any excursion or tour that you book, your contract will be with the excursion or tour operator and not with us. We are not responsible for the provision of the excursion or for anything that happens during the course of its provision by the operator.

All optional tours and/or excursions booked with Meta Travel Peru at the time of booking and included in your itinerary will be included in you contract with us.

14. Data protection

To process your reservation and ensure that your travel arrangements meet your requirements, we will use the information you provide. For more information on how we use and keep your data secure, please see our Privacy Policy.

15. Special requests and reduced mobility

Please inform us of any special requests before confirming your reservation. We will endeavor to forward such requests to the relevant providers of your travel arrangements; however, we cannot guarantee that such requests will be honored.

If you have any specific medical or mobility requirements, you must advise us before booking and confirm the details of your requirements in writing to ensure that the chosen holiday is suitable for you. Please inform us of any medical or mobility requirements by email at: [email protected] A member of our team will contact you to discuss and confirm the suitability of your proposed vacation before booking. In the event that we consider that the chosen destination or supplier cannot meet the necessary requirements for your benefit, we must reserve the right to reject or cancel your reservation and charge the corresponding cancellation fee (if your requirements are informed after having confirmed your reservation). Therefore, to avoid unnecessary charges, it is imperative that you inform us of any specific medical or mobility requirements before confirming your booking with us. We cannot accept any responsibility if you do not inform us of your requirements and it turns out that your holiday is not suitable for your needs or that you have not been able to travel as a result.

16. Brochure / Website and Price Accuracy

We cannot pay any compensation for events that are beyond our control or that of our suppliers.

It is common for facilities and services to be less available, both at your accommodation and at your destination resort, outside of peak season periods. We cannot accept responsibility in these circumstances.

The information in our brochures is correct at the time of printing. However, as this occurs many months before your holiday and despite careful checks, errors or changes may occur after the date of publication. If we become aware of such errors, we will of course endeavor to inform you prior to book. For the most up-to-date information, please visit our website.

In rare cases, errors may occur when entering prices into our reservation system or website. We regret that any contract entered into on the basis of an incorrect price will not be valid. In the unlikely event that such a situation arises, you will be given the option to pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

17. Law and jurisdiction

This booking is governed by Peruvian law and the jurisdiction of the Peruvian courts.
